Effective date: September 6, 2026
Short version: Cadence does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no ads. Everything lives on your device.
Cadence ("the App") is a screen time self-control app that helps you manage how much time you spend in selected apps. The App is built entirely on Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings) and runs locally on your device.
We do not collect any data. The App does not:
The following information is stored locally on your device in a private, sandboxed app group container and is never sent anywhere:
This data is removed from your device when you delete the App.
To function, the App requests Screen Time authorization through Apple's Family Controls framework. This grants access to Apple's device activity monitoring and app-shielding features. Per Apple's design, Cadence only receives opaque tokens representing your selections — Apple does not expose your actual usage history to the App beyond the threshold events it needs to apply a shield.
Cadence is intended for individuals managing their own device usage. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect any information at all.
Cadence does not use any third-party services, servers, cloud storage, crash reporting, or analytics frameworks.
If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Because the App has no way to contact you, please review this page periodically.
