Stitch Privacy Policy
Stitch is an iOS utility for combining images, PDF pages, and scrolling videos into long images. This Privacy Policy explains what information Stitch accesses, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information Stitch Accesses
Depending on the features you use, Stitch may access:
- Photos and videos: media that you explicitly choose from your Photos library.
- Files: images, PDF files, and videos that you explicitly choose through the iOS Files picker.
- Generated files: temporary working files, previews, and exported long images created while processing your request.
Stitch does not scan your entire Photos library or Files storage. Access is limited to the items you select through Apple’s system pickers.
How Your Information Is Used
Selected media is used only to provide the feature you requested, including:
- Importing and displaying selected images, PDF pages, or videos.
- Reordering and combining selected content into a long image.
- Analyzing video frames to detect scrolling movement and remove overlapping content.
- Creating a preview and exporting the result in PNG or JPEG format.
- Saving the result to Photos when you choose Save to Photos.
- Passing the result to the iOS share sheet when you choose Share.
On-Device Processing
Image, PDF, and video processing is performed locally on your device by the app. Stitch does not need an internet connection for its core stitching and export features, and the app does not transmit your selected media to the developer as part of those features.
Photos and Files Permissions
Stitch asks for Photos access when you select media or save a generated image. You can deny or later change this permission in iOS Settings. If access is denied, the related import or save feature may not work.
Files access is controlled by the iOS document picker. Stitch uses security-scoped access to read files that you select and does not receive access to unrelated files.
Sharing and Third Parties
Stitch does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs in the native app. When you use the iOS share sheet, the content you choose to share is handled by the destination app and its privacy practices. Review the destination app’s policy before sharing sensitive content.
Storage and Retention
Stitch may create temporary cached images, thumbnails, video slices, previews, and exported files in the app’s local sandbox so that processing and sharing can work. These files are not intended to be stored on a remote service. You can remove app-local data by deleting the app; exported images saved to Photos or another destination remain there until you delete them through that destination.
Children’s Privacy
Stitch is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Stitch relies on iOS sandboxing, permission controls, and security-scoped file access to protect local media. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so keep your device and iOS software up to date.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features or privacy practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a new version is published.
