Getting Started

Make a long image in a few steps.

Use the Stitch tab for images and PDFs. Use the Video tab for a scrolling screen recording or another scrolling video.

Import your content

Choose Photos or Files. Add multiple images or a PDF in Stitch, or select one video in Video.

Arrange or configure

Reorder image and PDF assets, then choose output options. For video, select scroll direction and quality.

Generate the preview

Select Generate Long Image and keep Stitch open while it processes your content.

Save or share

Review the dimensions and file size, then save the result to Photos or send it with the iOS share sheet.

Stitch Tab

Combine images and PDF pages.

  • Import from Photos or Files

    Add multiple images from your photo library, import image files, or choose a PDF from Files. Each PDF page is added as an image asset ready for stitching.

  • Set the order

    Use Edit to drag assets into the order you want. You can delete individual items or clear the entire list before generating.

  • Control the output

    Choose vertical or horizontal stitching. Match the first item, fit to the smallest edge, or set a custom target edge. You can also add spacing, choose a background color, and select PNG or JPEG.

Video Tab

Build a long image from a scrolling video.

  • Choose a scrolling video

    Import one video from Photos or Files. Stitch works best with a clear, steady recording of content that scrolls in one direction.

  • Select direction and quality

    Start with Auto to let Stitch identify vertical or horizontal movement. Choose Fast for a quicker result, Standard for everyday use, or High Quality for more detailed analysis and output.

  • Review the analysis

    When generation finishes, Stitch shows the detected direction, reliable frame matches, suspicious matches, image dimensions, and file size.

Troubleshooting

Common questions.

Generate Long Image is unavailable

Add at least one image or PDF page in the Stitch tab. In the Video tab, select a video first.

A file cannot be imported

Import images or PDFs in the Stitch tab. Import a video in the Video tab. Try selecting a different file if the file is damaged or unsupported by iOS.

The video result has missing or repeated content

Use a steadier recording, set the direction manually, or try High Quality. Avoid videos with rapid jumps, changing layout, or mixed scrolling directions.

I cannot save to Photos

Allow Stitch to add photos in Settings, then try again. You can also use Share to send the result to another app.

The output is too large

Choose a smaller custom target edge, reduce the number of assets, or create separate long images from smaller groups of content.

Where is my generated image?

After generation, use Save to Photos to add it to your library, or use Share to send or save the file through an available iOS destination.

Privacy

Your content stays on your device.

Stitch processes selected images, PDF pages, and videos locally on your device. Photo access is requested only when you choose to import from or save to your photo library.

Files selected through the Files picker are accessed only for the import you request.

When you contact support, include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, the action you were taking, and a screenshot of any error message. Do not include private source images, PDFs, or videos unless support asks for them.
