This Privacy Policy describes how Game Card Lookup ("the App", "we") handles information. The short version: the App does not collect, store, share, or sell any personal information.

1. Overview

The App is a card search and identification tool that runs on your iPhone. It has no user accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking software.

2. Information processed on your device

The following data stays on your device and is never uploaded by us:

• Search input. Keywords you type are used to look up cards.
• Camera frames and album photos. Used only for on-device text recognition (OCR) of the card password. They are not uploaded, not saved, and not accessible to us.
• Card image cache. Card images you view are cached locally so they load faster next time. You can clear them by deleting the App.
• Local settings. Small items such as the time of the last database update are stored on the device.

3. Camera permission

The App asks for camera access only so you can scan a card's password. If you deny the permission, scanning will not work, but every other feature remains available.

4. Network requests and third-party services

The App itself does not send your personal data anywhere. However, three optional features involve requests to third-party servers. Like any internet request, these servers receive your IP address and the requested content:

• Online fallback search. When a keyword is not found in the built-in database, the search term is sent to the community card API at ygocdb.com.
• Database updates. When you tap "Check & Update Database", the App downloads the latest database package from that service.
• Card images. Card images are loaded from a public image CDN (cdn.233.momobako.com), requested by card password.

We do not control those third-party services and are not responsible for their practices. You can avoid all three types of requests by using the App offline.

5. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and since it does not collect any personal information, no such data is ever gathered from any user, including children.

6. Data retention

All data the App keeps (cached images and local settings) lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the App. We have no servers that store your data.

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we have received your personal information in some other way, contact us and we will address it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
