Getting started

Game Card Lookup is a card search tool for Yu-Gi-Oh! players. It ships with a full Chinese card database of about 14,000 cards, works offline, and can identify a physical card by scanning the 8-digit password printed on the lower-left corner of the card face.

Frequently asked questions

How do I search for cards?

Type a card name or card password on the Search tab. The search runs against the built-in database first; if nothing matches, the app automatically searches online as a fallback.

How does card scanning work?

• Open the Scan tab and point the camera at the 8-digit password in the lower-left corner of the card face.
• Recognition runs on your device (on-device OCR). When the password is read, the app jumps straight to the card's detail page.
• You can also pick a photo from your album instead of using the camera.
• Chinese, Japanese, and English card faces are supported. Good, even lighting gives the best results.

Why does the app ask for camera access?

The camera is used only to recognize card passwords. Camera frames are processed on your device and are never uploaded or stored.

Why can't I find a certain card?

The built-in database may be older than the newest sets. Go to the Settings tab and tap Check & Update Database to download the latest data, then search again. If it still isn't found, try searching by card password.

Can I use the app without internet?

Yes. Searching, scanning, card details, and images you have already viewed all work offline. Internet is only needed for the online fallback search and for database updates.

What language is the card information in?

Card names, effects, and other details are shown in Chinese. The scanner itself recognizes Chinese, Japanese, and English card faces.
